Arts Catalyst is a Sheffield-based contemporary arts organisation working at the intersection of art, social justice, and ecological transformation. Through exhibitions, research projects, and collaborative community work, they commission artists and thinkers to explore urgent planetary questions, often outside traditional gallery settings. Since relocating from London, Arts Catalyst has become a key part of Sheffield’s cultural ecology, using art to cultivate care, resistance, and imagination across local landscapes.
In 2025, they open a new permanent space at Exchange Place Studios in Castlegate, where they’ll continue to host bold, experimental programming rooted in civic engagement and collective learning. From community gardens to radio broadcasts, their work invites audiences to reimagine how we live together across species, disciplines, and futures.
