Sheffield-born and raised, Commodo has developed one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary UK bass music.
His productions move through grime, dubstep and hip-hop using a language entirely their own, built from intricate rhythms, analogue texture, cinematic space and serious low-end weight. From the $pace Cash EP for Deep Medi to his acclaimed debut album How What Time on Black Acre, he has consistently pushed 140 music into stranger, wider and more atmospheric territory.
That restless approach draws from far beyond the usual reference points. Obscure soundtracks, grunge and shoegaze sit alongside grime pressure and dubstep architecture, creating music that feels stripped-back yet richly detailed, built for the dancefloor but never confined by it. Behind the decks, Commodo brings the same instinct, moving between heavyweight system music and more unexpected contemporary sounds with precision and complete control.
His history is woven through Sheffield’s own club culture. He played the very first night at Hope Works for Mixed in Sheffield, later returning for Roots and numerous other landmark parties across the years. This is not simply a homecoming. Commodo is part of the musical fabric of the city and one of the artists who helped shape its recent underground history.
For No Bounds 2026, he joins forces with Anz for a meeting of two deeply individual artists united by a fearless approach to UK club music. Expect bass weight, technical precision and plenty of sharp turns from two selectors who know exactly how far they can push a dancefloor.
