SDEM (aka Tom Knapp) has been working in electronic music since the late 90s, DJing, promoting, selling vinyl and releasing records.
In 2017 the first cassette under SDEM was released, with a subsequent flow of releases appearing via Seagrave, OPAL TAPES, SKAM, and Sheffield’s own CPU.
SDEM’s live performances utilize the same hardware setup as his home studio, crafting distinctive sets that delve into intricate rhythmic patterns, drawing from hip-hop, techno, electro, noise, and dub.
