SY Rockers is the new project from Ryan Aitchison (aka Mella Dee) and Reuben G.Their story goes all the way back to 2009, when Reuben invited Ryan to be aresident for his party LSS at Hi-Fi Club in Leeds. The pair went on to bond over theirshared love of bass-led music in the UK underground, a sound that was especiallyimportant to their native South Yorkshire. Fourteen years on, Ryan and Reubenrevisit those early inspirations as SY Rockers.
Their two debut EPs on Warehouse Music blend together bleep, UK techno, basslineand dub. True to those roots, the result is a hypnotic blend of raw drums andsubsonic impact
